Plans for HSI XXI

Powell planned HSI XXI in SW Utah. This is the second straight year we are playing in the state of Utah.

JJ Flew to Vegas and rented a car. He drove to St. George to pick up Sheebz, Nick and Powell. JJ was unable to get a van or SUV, so it was a bit of a tight squeeze to get into the car with all of our gear, but it all fit.

We drove to Coral Canyon Golf Course for our first round of the trip. After the round we made a grocery stop on the way back to the house. That evening we ate at the house and just hung out.

We got up early today for an hour drive to play two Rounds at Wolf Creek Golf Club. This course was visually stunning. The first nine holes was pretty uneventful. That is when the wind picked up. This ended up being the windiest conditions we have ever seen at HSI.

This was on the teebox of hole #14 in our afternoon round. This is one of the most elevated teeboxes on the course. The wind was so strong that you had to lean the tee into the wind to get the ball to not blow off of the tee. It was almost impossible!!!

After the two rounds, we were wiped out due to the wind. We drove back to the house and picked up some drive through on the way and crashed that evening.

This morning we played one round at Sand Hollow Resort Championship Course. This was a very cool resort style course. Some really cool holes. After the round we went back to the house, hung out in the hot tub and on the roof at the fire pit.

Saturday, May 22, 2021

Today we drove to Copper Rock Golf Course. This course is new with houses being built around it. Two weeks before it hosted an LPGA futures event so it was in very good shape. Since it was a new course, the facilities weren’t great as they were still being built. We were cart path only for the first few holes as the grass was crunchy due to overnight frost. The weather turned out great later in the day.

After the round, we drove back to Sand Hollow Resort Championship Course for our final round. After the round, we stayed in the clubhouse and had dinner. Powell joined us late since he drove back to Copper Rock to pick up his lost speaker that he left on the cart. After dinner we hung at the restaurant, did some tequila shots, and listened to some music. It was a good relaxing end to the week.

Time to depart for home. JJ dropped us at their St. George airport before heading to catch his own flight in Vegas. We had a wonderful time. Sheebz will be planning HSI XXII.
